Top Video Game pre-orders for October 2017

We’ve looked at the top video game pre-orders for August and September and now it is time to turn our attention to October.

This is generally a busy month and this year is no exception, with all manner of genre arriving on both PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

October

Battlechasers: Nightwar from the creators Darksiders is one of the first titles to release during October and it’s one we couldn’t be any more excited for. With a fantastic art style and brilliant looking action, we can’t wait to get hold of this one and it’s cheap too, which makes it even more appealing.

Forza Motorsport 7 is another game which is sure to get people’s engines revving, and even though this series is usually popular on its own right, the fact it supports native 4K on Xbox One X is sure to make it sell even more than usual. It’s a shame you still can’t pre-order Xbox One X, although we’re sure that will happen soon enough.

You can purchase the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition and the Ultimate Edition.

The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game also arrives in October. This is the first time a full game has been released in LEGO form, so this one is sure to go down well with both kids and families in general.

Another highly anticipated game is Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. The Amazon Exclusive Middle-earth: Shadow of War Mithril Edition has already sold out it seems, although you can still get the Standard Edition.

We are sure this game will be a huge hit, given the hype around it already and the fact that everyone still loves the original game.

The Evil Within 2 is another October release if you have the stomach for it! In the sequel, Sebastian must descend into the nightmare to win back his life and family, either by attacking from the shadows with his crossbow, running away (our preferred option) or by going in guns blazing with very limited ammo.

Whatever way you play this one is sure to keep you on your toes.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole finally arrives in October after being delayed quite a few times. It’s a busy month for it to arrive, but we’re sure that won’t stop everyone looking forward to it. You can purchase South Park: The Fractured But Whole in Standard Edition, Steelbook Edition and Gold Edition.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins is another title releasing in October. The series had a little break and now it’s back, looking better than ever. Origins is set in Egypt this time around and sees you play as Bayek, a protector of Egypt whose personal story will lead to the creation of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.

Origins is available in Standard, Gold and the God’s Collector’s Edition.

Switch owners get Super Mario Odyssey in October. It does look a little odd, but we are sure the charm of Mario will shine through and it’ll end up being yet another classic. Switch owners will no doubt snap this one up and no doubt help make it one of the biggest games of the month, if not the year.

Other titles releasing in October include the likes of WWE 2K18Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions.

We’ll round up the releases for the rest of the year soon.
