The month is drawing to a close, so it’s time to cast an eye across Amazon as a whole to see what the month’s most popular items were amongst consumers.
When it comes to games, there was only one winner in July and that’s Crash Bandicoot, while other titles such as Horizon Zero Dawn, Mario Kart Deluxe and the Nintendo Switch itself all put up a fight, nothing was stopping Activision’s blast from the past from winning the month.
When it comes to movies, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story remains the top seller, while Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them also put up a good showing. Bridget Jones Baby was also a popular movie in July, as was Moana and Beauty and the Beast.
Moving on to electronics and it’s Amazon’s own Firestick which is dominating sales. The popular USB stick, which allows you to watch Amazon Video, BBC iPlayer and a lot more, as well as being able to control some of your devices with Alexa voice control, has been up and down in price all month, with the lowest we’ve seen at £31.99. Elsewhere in electronics, AmazonBasics Apple Certified Lightning to USB Cable is proving as popular as ever and quite right too at £5.29. The excellent Echo Dot is also popular, as is the Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker with Better Bass.
If reading is more your thing then Lean in 15: The Shift Plan is the most popular book, giving a combination of 15-minute meals and workouts. It’s another diet books at number two, with Tom Kerridge’s Dopamine Diet also proving popular amongst readers. Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind is also amongst the best sellers, offering up something a little different from all the food talk.
